The Burn

For the short story, The Burn, by Dan Rubin in On Spec.

Much like Making History, this story is about man's distancing himself from nature. It too takes place on the West Coast. I wonder if the common theme occurs because our primary industries here in British Columbia consist of stripping the land of natural resources and beauty.

In this moment, Eddo is caught amazed and overwhelmed at the majesty of the acient forest he is in. Below is an alternate idea which I thought graphically was better but gave away the ending of the story.
